The HSG47 course is based on the HSE’s HSG47 guidelines and covers a range of topics, including legislation and best practice, utility maps and records, equipment and techniques for detecting and identifying underground services, and safe digging practices.

In addition to the HSG47 course, we also provide a range of other courses designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge that is so essential. One of these courses is the PAS 128 Utility Mapping course which can lead to a qualification in cable avoidance.
A qualification in cable avoidance will enable operatives to work on sites in the UK which require such a qualification. These include Heathrow Airport and HS2 sites among others, and more and more projects are insisting on such a qualification today as well.
