The Problem CAT Manager Solves
Your CAT4 Data Is Currently Invisible to You
CAT Manager is the Radiodetection software that unlocks the data stored inside every eCAT4 and gCAT4 device. Without it, that data sits on the unit, invisible and unused, entirely without value. With it, you can download every locate, create reports and charts, export to CSV and KML, upload to CAT Manager Online and identify, at a glance, who is using the Genny correctly and who is cutting corners.
Every eCAT4 and gCAT4 device logs data every time it is used on site. That data tells you when the unit was used, in which modes, for how long, at what sensitivity levels and whether the operator used the Genny transmitter as they should have. Without downloading and reviewing that data, you have no visibility of whether your operatives are applying the Genny-First methodology that prevents service strikes.
This half-day course teaches your delegates how to install and use the software, download data from the device, interpret what they are looking at and build reports that serve as an audit trail. The session is deliberately interactive. Delegates are encouraged to bring their own CAT4 hardware and have CAT Manager pre-installed so they can work through the process using real equipment and real data.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do delegates need to bring their own equipment?
Equipment is optional. The course can be completed without hardware, using example data provided by Sygma. However, delegates who bring their own eCAT4 or gCAT4 (with a data transfer lead) and a laptop with CAT Manager pre-installed will get more from the session because they will be working with real data from their own fleet.
What version of CAT Manager is used in the course?
The course uses the current Radiodetection CAT Manager version. We recommend delegates pre-install the latest version before attending. The download link and installation guide will be provided on booking.
Can this course be delivered on site at our premises?
Yes. The in-person course can be delivered at your site provided a suitable meeting room and IT setup are available. Contact us to discuss logistics and costs.
Is this course accredited?
No formal accreditation is attached to CAT Manager Training. Delegates receive a certificate of attendance. The course is designed as a technical skills development session for supervisors and managers rather than a qualification programme.
Can we combine this course with other Sygma training?
Yes. CAT Manager Training pairs particularly well with the EUS Superuser course, which includes CAT Manager data analysis as one of its core modules. Many organisations book the two sessions together as a supervisory development package.
Is this relevant to the EUS CAT1 or CAT2 accreditation?
CAT Manager data download is an optional module within the EUS CAT1 course. This standalone session provides much greater depth and is aimed at managers and coordinators rather than operative-level delegates.
